Our thanks to everyone that attended to Nebraska Chapter and UNL Alumni Social in Denver. It was a wonderful event, and we deeply appreciate APA-Nebraska Chapter’s partnership and support.
As I mentioned in my remarks, we’re in the midst of a historic campaign called Only in Nebraska which is a system-wide effort to raise $3b across the University of Nebraska System and have 150,000 unique donors participate. Every campus, college, and program are focused on raising support around the following themes:
Student Access and Success
Faculty, Academic, and Clinical Excellence
Transformational Research and Innovation
I’m pleased to share that overall, we are ahead of pace with dollars raised and we recently surpassed the donor participation goal, now more of 151,000 donors have made a gift. Thank you to all that have contributed and have helped us get to this point!
The College of Architecture was among the first colleges at UNL to reach their campaign goal and we are now working towards a stretch goal of $20 million. I want to highlight the Community and Regional Planning Alumni and Friends Graduate Student Scholarship Fund as a wonderful success story during this campaign. Thanks to the generosity of many and the support of APA-Nebraska Chapter, this fund has been fully endowed and will provide student support in perpetuity. It has now been fully endowed for a year and will be awarded for the first time this upcoming academic year! We of course welcome the ongoing support, which continue to grow the fund’s value and thereby increase the distribution it provides to campus on an annual basis.
The attachment provided shares more updates and details on the top campaign priorities for the MCRP program. I’d be glad to connect with anyone interested in learning more about how to make an impact through philanthropic support. Thanks again for all you do to support the University of Nebraska.
